My name is Takako Owen and I am a fully qualified and licensed acupuncturist, moxibustionist and masseuse. Originally from Japan, I have been based in Swindon, Wiltshire since 2013. I graduated from Tokyo Therapeutic Institute, and have a great deal of experience treating patients with a variety of problems.

Acupuncture and moxibustion can be used to stimulate nerves and muscle tissue, and also to treat a wide range of health conditions. While acupuncture involves the use of very fine needles, moxibustion is the burning of small discs attached to cone-shaped preparations of the mugwort plant on or near the skin; this is also usually on or near to an acupuncture point.

Amma and shiatsu massage help people relax and cope with issues such as stress, muscle pain, nausea, anxiety and depression.
